THE FULL MONTE DAY 5 MONACO
28/08/2011
After a late night it was a mid morning start today, first task was to travel down with Jarle, Andreas and Harvey in the Maserati GT spyder to Casino Square, once the car was valet parked outside the Casino we had a beer each and watched the world go by, the highlight being a Bugatti Veyron. I was then picked up by Rob in the Audi V10 R8 as we set off to the charming village Eze for lunch with some of the other drivers for an amazing lunch at the Chateau Eze, sitting atop the hill it overlooks Antibes and in the distance Nice airport. After a stunning five course lunch we then set up some static and motion shots of the Audi, the car not only looks and sounds amazing but is great to photograph from any angle. We headed back to the Monte Carlo beach hotel where I was then picked up by Paul in his Ferrari 355 (does this sound like a days work?) and we set off for a few laps of the square and grand prix circuit, the trip was made even more memorable as the R8 reappeared for a blast through the tunnel and down to the harbour.
After a quick refresh at the hotel it was then off to the Hotel Hermitage for the gala dinner to end off the week, once the lavish dinner was over it was one final look at Casino Square where the residents were out in a host of super car regalia. The final day for us would be an over night stop in Chalon Sur Saone and a day spent on one of the most amazing roads in Europe.
