GROVE FERRY PUB AND RESTAURANT PHOTOGRAPHY KENT
07/05/2011
The owners who run the pub have teamed up with brewers Shepherd Neame to extend the riverside terrace and expand the patio, creating more space for customers to enjoy traditional Kentish ale and good quality food by the river. The building also has a new roof and refurbished windows, as well as a barbecue of high quality cooking locally-sourced meats, offering chicken kebabs, steak baguettes and sausages in baps, as well as grilled vegetable kebabs. The brief was to cover all of these areas, so generally wider images to show the patio area and some colourful images showing off the food and general surroundings. Light was an issue early on as it was in the ideal place to show the decking off but with cloud cover appearing intermittently it completely changed the mood of the pictures, just a case of waiting and taking some people photos. Another great idea the pub has is offering blankets for their clients to use, a nice touch and with the riverside location ideal for a family picnic with great food on hand from the barbecue. After I had covered a variety of people and general exterior images it was off in to town to cover some publicity photographs for Canterbury Cathedral's choir to promote their US tour.
