IFS STUDENT INVESTORS FINALS LONDON

King Edward's School with the 2011 Student Investor's trophy
The brief was the same today as the previous three years, catch a story of the day from the initial arrival of the teams through to the winners being awarded the trophy and cheque at the end of the day. As the teams test in the morning involved some exams based around share prices and company projections I had to be discreet so that I was not a distraction to any of the teams. The 1D in silent shutter mode with the 135mm F2 lens attached gave me the distance that I required, I covered a few wide angle photos as well to show the room and teams all together. Once the teams had completed the morning task they the had the daunting task of presenting their views to a panel of judges, their were a variety of different view points on how they felt the banks had been perceived in the recent recession and the winning team were UCAS from King Edwards School whose presentation was slick and professional, they also gave some positive answers to the judges questions as well. The remaining photographs were to be taken at the top of the IFS' offices which overlook the hub of the financial world in London, plus breathtaking views of Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast. Once the photography was over I then had a deadline to send a selection of photos over to the Financial Mail.
