PHOTOGRAPHY IN LONDON
24/04/2011
You can always expect crowds at Covent Garden as the street entertainers work all day and always create a great atmosphere, after catching a few photos we then walked down to Trafalgar Square and came across a US TV crew who were set up for Friday's wedding and covering interviews with a host of Brits who I had never heard of! After capturing the blonde US presenter among the crowds my attention then turned to a couple who were getting caught up in the romance of it all, great moment and could work as a greeting card. After then walking down the Mall towards Buckingham Palace we came across Piers Morgan interviewing a royal expert about the big day, a few snaps later and then off for a rest in Green park. Kit today was the 1D MKIV and 100mm lens with a 15mm lens, good mix for the day, the 100mm is a great lens for capturing street photography. The last stop was the Hard Rock Cafe which is celebrating its 40th birthday this year, highlight for me was sitting at a table next to Steve Vai's double necked guitar which he used from the David Lee Roth tour in the late 80's. After a tiring but enjoyable day it was time to head back home, can't help feeling that this time on Friday the streets won't be as quite as they were today.
