MODEL PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOT IN FOLKESTONE
22/04/2011
After doing a recce via Google maps the station, harbour and skateboard park were the main locations for our shoot in Folkestone. The models were all varied in their looks and styles which really worked well with the strong sunshine and moodier shaded areas of the old station. We took it in turns to work with each of the models and assisting each other, the textures at the station were great for showing off each of the girls looks. After a five star buffet lunch at the Hotel Bursting (!!!!) we moved over to the skateboard park where Siobhan's punky look really worked well with the bright coloured grafitti.
Light sources on the day due to the over powering sun were off camera speedlights and refelctors, I shot in to the sun and then balanced the light with either a single reflector or using the speedlights at reduced power off camera to give a fill in effect on the models. We finished the day at 3pm and all came away with a strong portfolio of images from the day. If you are interested in taking part in any of the model photography workshops that I run, or even one to one training on techniques including lighting, posing and composition please contact me for further details.
