ROSEMARY SCHRAGER COOKERY SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHY FOR AVANTE
17/10/2013
The emphasis on the photography today was to show the classroom aspect and more importantly the practical element of the cooks creating Rosemary and John's recipes which will be put in to Avante's residential homes over the coming months.
Rosemary Scrager's cookery school is based at the Corn Exchange, The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells and as well as covering corporate training days they cater for people who want to brush up on their cookery skills. The courses take place over a half day, full day or over two or three day sessions. The kitchen environment has no expense spared and created a great setting for the photography, showing executive chef John Rogers training the cooks with a variety of starters, meals and desserts.
I used the 24-70mm and for a few quirky shots the 15mm fisheye. The lighting in top cooking environments is perfect as it mirrors natural light perfectly and produces a very clean look due to the white walls and reflections from all of the stainless steel in terms of pans and various utensils. The ISO was set at 800 and apertures varied from 2.8-5.6 depending on the subjects and background.
