MARIE AND MARK'S WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY CANTERBURY KENT
13/09/2013
The two hours that I was at the service for covered the arrival of the bride and groom, ceremony and then some formal photographs outside the office, the weather held off until the wedding party then went off for a meal locally. The second part of the wedding will take place in a couple of weeks when the couple will have a larger party for their friends and families.
I used the 24-70mm for the afternoons photography, with the 5D MK3 it works well for portraits and also some wider images of the ceremony and group photos. The light was very over cast and with the drizzling rain the only cover for the small group photos was under a large tree which covered the bride and groom. The choice was to use some fill in flash or push the ISO up and utilise what was available of the natural light, as I always aim to use the natural light available I went for this option as with a 1/3 of a stop of over exposure and an aperture of F4 the images looked natural. Looking forward to part two of the wedding at the end of the month when the Marie and Mark dress up again for the larger party.
