THE SHARD TOWER STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY IN LONDON
27/08/2013
After arriving at London Bridge station, where the Shard is situated, I covered some close up photographs of the 1000 ft tower. Using the 70-200mm and 17-40mm lenses I covered a mix of images, the sky was still diffused by some early morning cloud so took a tour of the Southbank en route to the Tate and Westminster with the hope of some early afternoon sun appearing upon my return later on in the day. With the Summer Holidays coming to a close the City was busy and provided some good opportunities, especially around the London Eye and Westminster.
On the way back the view of the Shard was resplendent with rich blue skies and clouds reflecting on the glass building, taking a slightly different route back the Shard looked even more prominent framed around the London Bridge Hotel, a view that I hadn't seen before and my favourite shot of the day, along with the dribbling French Mastiff that is who was posing for passers by in a fruit and veg van!
