COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY IN CANTERBURY KENT
22/08/2013
The Barretts showrooms cover Ashford and Canterbury and the last dealership to be covered was the Land Rover Canterbury exterior as it had just had new signage fitted this week. With some blue skies and bright sunshine on the front of the showroom it gave a warmth to the wood exterior and a nice punch of colour to the cars on display.
The second job of the afternoon was to photograph the new signage at Kent County Cricket Ground where brewer Shepherd Neame had partnered up with the cricket club to rename the ground the Spitfire St Lawrence venue. The brief was to capture some straight forward images of the sign which could be used in the forthcoming annual report. The second image was to incorporate some blurred movement with people leaving the ground, with the early evening sun I had to use a neutral density filter to allow me to use a slow enough shutter speed to show the moving cars and people. Camera was tripod mounted and the best shutter speeds were between 2-3 seconds as this showed just enough movement.
