WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT HIGH ROCKS TUNBRIDGE WELLS
03/09/2011
Early start at 9am as I head over to Gemma's parents home in Tonbridge where the bridal party are getting prepared for the day ahead. Just using the 24-70mm lens which is so versatile, whether it is for wide photos or close ups of some of the finer details. I left the house at 12 to catch up with the groom and his best men at the venue, we headed over to the High Rocks which are opposite the restaurant where they would be hosting three weddings today. The whole day was very relaxed and with a slight breeze appearing through the day and with constant sunshine created a perfect summer's day wedding. The 50mm 1.2 showed it's versatility with the ceremony photos as the room was quite dark, with just some candlelight pushing some light in to the couple, the window light was backlighting Gemma which did work nicely for some close up images, creating a soft glow to the veil. With the first dance at 8.30pm it was my last few images of the day, I had covered Mark's sisters wedding three years ago so it was nice to catch up with some familiar faces as well.
