BLOG ARCHIVE 2011
BELL INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY AT COBHAM SCHOOL, KENT
06/07/2011
Bells students travel from all over the world to the UK to have a better understanding of the English language and culture. The photography brief was to take a wide variety of images for Bells forthcoming range of brochures, the lessons on today were diverse, including art, cooking, swimming and football. The first photos were of the stunning architecture and grounds, I was here two years ago and it looked like the weather was to be a repeat of back then, blue skies and sunshine. Famous last words, an hour later the heavens opened and their was a torrent of rain, fortunately it only lasted a short while and the sunshine returned.
I used a mix of the 135mm and 24-70mm lens which for this line of work covered all angles, the classrooms had large windows and made the photographs look fresh and vibrant, always helps when the students have a good range of colourful clothing. The day was finished off with some sports photography and some group shots of the students running towards the camera with the school in the background, camera set to high speed shutter burst to catch a sequence of images for the client to choose from. The photography commences towards the end of the month where I will be off to Bedgebury School, Wellington college and finishing off with two days in Cambridge.
