SHEPHERD NEAME THE OLD BREWERY STORE PHOTOGRAPHY
06/07/2011
The photography was needed to promote the venue, although only a few events had happened since it had been recently opened their was a need for some photos of the venue as well as some incidental images to show the rustic theme and that it was a totally unique venue. A lot of thought had gone in to the areas, with a vast selection of old pub signs hanging up around the interior and exterior of the brewery, plus their was a selection of traucks, cars and bicycles from the brewery's past on display.
I used the 17-40mm lens on the 1D tripod based for the majority of the images, long exposures to draw in as much of the ambient light as possible, this also created a warmer image which was what the client was after for these wider photos. The the 24-70mm with its excellent macro facility and superb 2.8 lens came in to effect, ideal for the detail shots and with the shallow depth of field created some more artistic images. The venue is fully open now and I am looking to hold another fashion and lighting course there, with its props and mix of lighting it will be an ideal setting. The recent ones this year booked up very qucikly so please do contact me if you are interested and I will provide you with more information.
