SALOMONS TUNBRIDGE WELLS VENUE PHOTOGRAPHY

29/06/2011
Salomons in Tunbridge Wells, Kent for Canterbury Christ Church University
We had a comprehensive brief for today which from midday went through to early evening, the photography was to cover internal and external images of the venue and the surrounding facilities, as well as the events going on during the day, which included meetings, conferences and a school prom towards the end of the day. I stuck with the 135mm lens initially whilst Clare had the 17-40mm on her 5D, this way we would get a range of different images from each setting, makes life easier and we can cover the vast estate a lot easier as well.

As we came to mid afternoon their was tea on the terraces, and also the chef had set up some dishes for us to photograph as well. Once we came to early evening their were two events, the Southborough Rotary club who had their weekly dinner meeting and Mascalls school prom, we divided these between us and captured some strong colourful images of the venue and the students. As the day came to a close for us the last few images were of the prom guests sitting down in the victorian theatre, tricky shot as the angle of the tripod was carefully balanced to allow a steady balance due to the lighting inside the room. Another late evening but again a great set of images between us to show this stunning venue of at its very best.
