BLOG ARCHIVE 2011
ROYAL ALBERT HALL SHEPHERD NEAME PHOTOGRAPHY LONDON
28/06/2011
The brief for today was to capture some of the building itself as well as interiors leading to the bar, the bar itself, empty and full with customers along with some product and abstract photographs. I set up the tripod to cover a variety of angles of the reception area that lead to the Spitfire bar whilst Clare covered some more artistic images, we had from 3pm - 7.30pm inside the venue to cover a mixture of images for the client, and with BB King playing this evening the mix of customers that we were after was ideal.
We covered some architectural images outside the venue, and John had an idea of the bottles in the foreground with the iconic building behind, as I tried a few different options I ended up volunteering my self as a hand model for the product, Clare covered a number of angles which worked really well capturing the iconic building in the background. Once the bar started to get busy it was a case of us using different viewpoints to capture the crowds and staff, with the Spitfire branding present either in the glasses or just thrown out of focus in the background. The weather hindered our attempts at some dusk images later on so a return visit is on the cards during a brighter day, where the sky late on will be a deep blue to really offset against the Albert Hall. A long day in the end but between us we covered a wide range of photos on the day, plus some nice stock images which can be used for a multitude of advertising purposes.
