IFS GRADUATION CEREMONY PHOTOGRAPHY< GUILDHALL, LONDON
17/06/2011
Due to the nature of the ceremony their is a lot of moving around the venue, although the event only takes place from 9.45-1pm the photography required is of people arriving, being robed and a general feel of the day. It works easier having two cameras as one has the 135mm on and the other body with the 24-70mm, although the weather was not full of blue skies and sunshine the lighting was ideal for some formal and informal portraits. Once the ceremony started the main images required were of the procession towards the stage, students collecting awards, candids and a feel of occasion which the Guildhall lends itself to in abundance.
After finishing off with the obligatory mortars throwing in the air from the students it was back on the High Speed train from St Pancras to Canterbury. Next job today was at the Quarterhouse in Folkestone for their Little Shop of Horrors performance, a real contrast to this mornings job.
