CORPORATE PORTRAITS KENT UNIVERSITY
02/06/2011
After having a quick look around I saw a courtyard area where their was a walkway above and some nice relective metal panelling, ideal for a mix of group and single portraits, worked well with a speedlight powered down to 1/2 power on a lighting stand to camera left. We then went over to a green area where we simulated a picnic, more informal and with the iconic Canterbury Cathedral in the background, again off camera flash with it on the floor level just to provide some fill in flash as the group were backlit by the hazy sun.
The rest of the shoot was a real variety, coffee shops, bus stops and even the launderette which Theresa is looking to use for a caption competition. After editing the images their are a nice selection of formal and informal portraits which are a little different to the white wall backdrop, and with the aid of a single flash off camera to combat the overpowering sun some nicely lit and fresh images.
