SUPER CAR PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOT KENT

Porsche Carrera GT, Cayman, F430 & Carrera Turbo
The other cars in the collection were a duo of Porsche's, Ferrari F430 and the workhorse which was an Audi RS6 estate, which has super car performance under its subtle guise. Nick Simmond's came along as my assistant for the day, he is also a great car photographer and the GT was an icon in his youth, mine was a Lamborghini Countach which shows the difference in age! We had a couple of hours to cover the cars, the main image was a group shot of the cars together, so after borrowing a set of steps and covering the variety of cars we then looked at a variety of angles, some very abstract which could be used for some unique artwork.
Due to the time we had I used a mixture of lenses, 100mm macro, fisheye and the 17-40mm for the wider group photos, their was a mix of sun and diffused lighting which helped on the reflective surfaces of the cars. Always nice to be commissioned to cover a shoot like this, especially with such a rarity as the Porsche Carrera GT, might have to look in to getting this along to one of the car photography courses at Brooklands!
