NICK AND GEMMA'S WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY, WHITSTABLE, KENT
16/04/2011
Once I had taken a few photos at Gemma's parents home I then met up with everybody at the castle, good to see Paul Causer who is a member of the photography club that I run all kitted up with his Canon gear, it is Paul's stepson who was getting married so Paul had other duties to cover as well as being a second photographer. Once we had covered a variety of informal and formal photos at the venue it was then over to the Marine Hotel, we finished off the bride and groom photos along the Tankerton slopes, the lifeguard hut was a great opportunity to grab some informal and different images. As the couple were walking back up towards the hotel they broke out in to a dance routine, great opportunity for a few candids, looks like they were getting some practice in for the first dance!
Camera kit on the day was very simple, two 1D's, 24-70mm and 135mm lens plus a 580 speedlight. The 24-70mm is a great all rounder for this type of photography and gave great flexibilty inside the castle for the ceremony photos.
