MORGAN CARS ADVERT
18/02/2011
We met at the dealership just after 1.30pm and then took the car off to some rural retreats, Nick followed as the Morgan Sport has the luggage capacity of a match box, hood down 6 degrees outside with a biting wind, didn't matter as I was in a modern day classic sports car. I have driven a Morgan Sport a few times now and with your legs being horizontal and fighting the heavy clutch and soggy brakes (compared to my RS) it takes a little getting used to.We found two locations, one a picturesque farm with modern day oast house features in the background and then a viaduct, two great locations, traditional and urban. I think that the garage will go with the traditional shot as it contradicts the London city felt that the magazine portrays quite nicely. We stuck to one light (500 watt) and a variety of ISO and aperture settings to enhance or darken the ambient light creeping in on the image. The extrnal lighting gives you more coverage and power then remote flashguns and with Nick's assistance it made the shoot a lot more flexible then normal, plus the misty afternoon light helped as well on the rural car photography. Great how the light picked out the chrome details on the Morgan. Great chance also to use my 1D Mark 4, more about this over the next few days!
