Although Becky's operation was over eighteen months ago it was still very difficult for her to talk about what was a life threatening infection that she caught. The flesh eating bug was fortunately treated but only just in time, this has resulted in a 16 inch scar on her stomach and a lot of disruption in her life. I must admit when I had the brief I thought that it was one of those headline grabbing stories but this happened in a hospital and luckily the neglect of care afterwards did not lead to what could have been an even more tragic story.
