The photoshoot took place at the University of Kent, Samantha is releasing a book next year and wanted a library space with some atmosphere, the Templeman library has a bit of everything in terms of modern and 70's style decor and worked well with Samantha's patterned blue dress.
The second part of the session was taken at the Colyer Ferguson music hall, with the addition of a grand piano it gave me a more neutral and cleaner backdrop to work along side. I used a single and twin Profoto portable lighting set up, using a 50mm lens with a shallow depth of field made for some atmospheric images which Samantha was after, especially to promote her book which will be released in Autumn 2024 worldwide.
