MINI JOHN COOPER WORKS CAR PHOTOSHOOT
18/12/2020
Location always plays a major part of a car photography shoot, very rarely will I set a date upon and not have a venue in mind. Now today was one of this cases where my self and journalist Dan Bevis suggested meeting in a car park in Dorking, grabbing a coffee and then meeting owner Andy at a location TBC. I did see that on the doorstep was the Denbies Vineyard, fortunately they obliged and allowed us to use a small part of their grounds for the shoot.
Once you start setting lighting up you require a bit of time and space, all worked well as the viaduct in the background and a mottled sky gave a nice backdrop for Andy's outrageously clean JCW. Dan interviewed Andy and after all the static shots were done we set off to the Bolney Stage, always been on my list to use for some moving car shots, famed for its bicycle runs it's steep roads and sweeping bends gave the JCW a real workout and made for some great photos.
You will see the full feature in a forthcoming edition of Performance Mini magazine soon.
