LONDON CONCOURS CAR PHOTOGRAPHY
21/08/2020
The London Concours, presented by Montres Breguet, is a luxurious automotive garden party hosted in the heart of the City of London from Wednesday 19th to Thursday 20th August. This hugely exciting automobile extravaganza will see 80 of the worlds most precious cars gather in the gardens of the historic and beautiful Honourable Artillery Company Headquarters. This is the first car event to take place since February and the organisers done a great job in keeping social distancing measures in place for this event to go ahead.
Covering the show for Alpine cars was a real privilege, I’ve been a fan of the brand for many years and wish the introduction of the all new 110 and 110s models the car has been a hit with the motoring world due to its design, weight and handling. Thursday was the best day to attend as the previous day the heavens opened in the afternoon. The setting is perfect as the Backdrop of skyscrapers and tower blocks really makes for an atmospheric vibe and relaxed environment.
In terms of car’s on display the 70s Lamborghini Countach in white was great to see, this adorned my bedroom wall in the early 80s. Another star of the show was the Lotus Evija the companies £1.8 million hypercar, with only 130 being produced the company has made one of the most dramatic looking cars I’ve ever seen. The show was sponsored by Octane magazine and I’m looking forward to covering it next year, can’t recommend it enough as for me this is the future of the car show, sunshine, champagne and the great outdoors.
