HOLIDAY PHOTOGRAPHY UK AND ITALY

One thing you don't want to do when away is lugging the usual kit around, plus a lot of the time I just want to get the usual travel snaps. The Lumix LX100 is the perfect tool for the job, compact, 17-70mm F1.7-2.8 lens is ideal for most situations. Travel photography, whether in the UK or abroad usually means wide angle and telephoto lenses to capture every eventuality, plus a tripod as well just to make sure you get some night photography images.
In RAW mode it produces really nice clean and neutral images, whether landscapes, architecture or general images. The last two trips away have been in Lancashire and the stunning Lake Garda in Italy. One fill of walking and exploring the beautiful countryside and the other enjoying the sunshine in one of our favourite countries, Italy. I think like most people when away the iPhone did get a lot of use as well, but i'm glad to say the majority were caught on the Lumix, if you are after a good all round camera without the extra lenses, or a nice everyday camera then the Lumix range is definitely worth looking at.

We are off to Washington early next year so i'll take one of the DSLR's then just to capture some of the iconic statues and architecture in the capital of the US.
