PORSCHE 911 TURBO S CAR PHOTOGRAPHY
18/05/2017
Porsche have always produced sports cars that can also cover the practical side, two people in comfort with rear sets and a huge space under the bonnet made it the perfect companion to my Jaguar saloon on this ten day road trip. The Turbo S produces a stinking 530 bhp with 516 pound foot of torque, making this a supercar in terms of performance, 0-60 takes just 3 seconds! I was spoilt for choice of locations on this trip, Reims old race circuit in France, Tuscan backdrops in Chianti and the mountain tops of Switzerland. As this was a holiday I packed light and for the photos used the Nikon D810 and Sigma 50mm 1.4 art lens, with the warm light that was on offer all I had to do was some very light post editing to warm the colours up.
The Porsche 911 has some significant options, carbon ceramic brakes, carbon backed sports seats and a unique rear spoiler. The detail shots were taken at F2.2 with the other images of the car at F8, just to keep a sharpness and clarity to the photos. Our trip ended with a list to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, nice way to finish the trip and see the evolution of the German sports car marque over the years.
