WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR EXHIBITION 2013

The Natural History Museum in London is hosting the WPY 2013 exhibition until March 23rd 2014, with the top one hundred winning and commended images on display with large format light boxes showing off the photos at their very best. Entries were submitted from ninety six countries and the diversity on display is breathtaking, from Greg du Toit's "Essence of Elephants" overall winning image to Lasse Kurkela's two specially commended photos taken in Finland in the under ten's category. Each of the thousands of annual entries is evaluated individually by an international jury of photography experts, before being awarded a place in the top 100 images of the year.
The exhibition is run by the Natural History Museum and BBC Wildlife Magazine, their is a a special preview supplement in this months magazine where you can get a glimpse of the winning images, this is no substitute for seeing the real thing though, the display of images is stunning along with the text stating the technical aspects and stories behind the pictures. You can book tickets on line for £12 or pay on the day.
