ARMSTRONG AND MILLER GIG HASTINGS SPITFIRE ALE PHOTOGRAPHY

A packed pub with locals and guests dressed in vintage 40's Army, RAF and civilian clothing made a great evening with Ben Miller and Alexander Armstrong in fine form with stand up, singing and answering the audiences questions on absolutely anything. The Spitfire Ale advertising has been at the forefront of the brewers promotion throughout the years and with the addition of the comedy duo and the resurgence of the 1940's era even stringer then ever.
The photography was to document the event, with detail shots and general bar and crowd scenes as well as Ben and Alexander performing, chatting and ending a great evening pulling some pints for the locals. The light was a typical pub, warm and cosy which meant the 50mm 1.2 was required, ISO 2500 1.4-1.6 apertures with fast enough shutter speeds to freeze the action. Love using the 50mm on a full frame camera as you can really get in close up and low down angles work superbly to give some added drama.
