MCCH CHARITY FUN DAY PHOTOGRAPHY MAIDSTONE KENT
29/08/2013
The County show ground is an ideal location for the MCCH event, with activities taking part outside and also in the two large arenas. A lot of the photography will be used for the charities website, marketing, press releases and also the forthcoming annual report. Their was plenty to photograph, Cyborg men from Dr Who, Freddie Mercury lookalike belting out their greatest hits, game shows from the 80's, go karting, birds of prey displays and a disco at the end of the day.
As their was plenty going on two cameras were a necessity to cover the action and events taking place, 24-70mm and 70-200mm lenses on both cameras along with a 600 speed lite attached to the 5D MK3 for portrait and group photos in and outside of the arenas. My favourite photo of the day was the Kiss lookalikes who had made a real effort with their make up and outfits, taken with the flash on camera and in manual mode, slightly under exposed to bring detail in the sky which also produced a nicely saturated blue sky
