FINANCIAL INNOVATION AWARDS PHOTOGRAPHY IN LONDON

Comedian, presenter and writer Alistair McGowan was on hand to host the proceedings in front of just over three hundred attendees, between them they covered a range of companies from the financial industry. This evening there were over twenty awards which were for business support, innovation and service to customers along with other numerous categories.

I used the 50mm prime lens, due to the number of people and the access I had the smaller focal lengths were better suited, and the 1.4 aperture of the 50mm gave a few options as whether to use flash or the ambient light. I did on occasion use some fill in flash with an on camera compact Nikon flash unit, perfect to add some extra light without being too powerful and over exposing the images. The wider 14-24mm worked for the room photos and also for some of the band who performed at the end of the evening.
