The photography brief was to capture a days typical school life at Bramfiled House, this included classroom, sport and recreational activities. The weather was ideal as well for capturing some exterior photos of the glorious grounds that the school sits in. It is an all boys establishment catering for an age range of 7-18 year olds, and registered for 74 pupils. It is situated in rural Suffolk 10 minutes drive from the heritage coast. The residential accommodation consists of the main house sitting in 10 acres of gardens and 1 mile from the centre of the village of Bramfield. The classroom facilities are independently placed within the grounds and consist of purpose made specialist subject provisions. Alongside the school site they provide a separate residential accommodation called Ibstock House that caters for the further development of pupil’s independence skills. This house has its own designated classroom and gardens, approximately ¾ of an acre and can support up to 8 boarding pupils. Both can access the numerous on-site resources on offer, including an indoor heated swimming pool, gymnasium, multi-gym, full size snooker, pool and table tennis table, full size sports pitches and outdoor adventure trail, amongst a host of other in- house activities and interests.

Two Nikon cameras with the 70-200mm zoom lens fitted to the D4S and the lighter D810 with the 20mm wide prime fitted for the exterior and interior building photography. I shot wide open with the 70-200mm, the portraits at F4 just to retain sharpness on the subjects face, the 20mm was mainly around F11 as this covered general school interior photographs and some of the house in the glorious grounds that it sits upon.
