Silverstone has been the home of the British Grand Prix for many years now, known for its fast straights and technical set up it would be a challenge for mine and Iain's BMW's. One thing that never ceases to amaze me is the sheer variety on display at these events, one minute a £1000 Mazda MX5 turns up closely followed by a million pound Ferrari La Ferrari. With over one hundred cars in attendance it was a busy day but with the circuit covering just under 4 miles you never felt too bunched up in the wide circuit.

In terms of photography I was on a busmans holiday, it's nice to go to these events and capture the day, plus with a vintage Ford GT40 flying around the circuit and a host of Ferraris and other super car exotica you were never short of something to snap. When I used to cover a lot of motor sport photography around the UK the photos that everyone liked were the behind the scene photos, these add to the story of the day. After doing six sessions each we finished off with a few images around the pits before heading back to a Kent, the M25 was a contrast to the track day but nice to relax behind the wheel at sensible speeds.
