Sunbeam Harrington Alpine NART Coupé built in 1961 was the first of three cars that I had been commissioned to photograph for RM Sotheby's last week, with racing pedigree and only three owners this car will attract a lot of attention. The car was a two time competitor in the 12 hours of Sebring, NART entry in 1963 and has recently competed at Goodwood and is fully restored and race prepared.

The car photography for RM auctions is very precise with a multitude of angles required, various interior image and detailed shots to show the engine, chaotic number and other important details to the prospective buyers. I took the photos at the sellers house, with a large driveway and a tudor style garage and plenty of greenery it produced a perfect neutral backdrop. The car was lit by the Profoto B1 flash and gave a lift to the black cross spoke wheels and also ample light for the interior and engine bay photos. As you can see from the montage the photos are already on the RM website and will be produced in a catalogue for the auction in London next month.
