TRAVEL AND TOURISM PHOTOGRAPHY IN KENT

Todays visit was focusing on the areas that are a key to the Yarrow hotel in Broadstairs, the spa and beauty treatment rooms have just been completed and with a busy lunch service today was a good opportunity to get some restaurant and kitchen images. I had also been asked to capture some abstract images with a view to them being produced as large framed prints in the bar and restaurant areas.

I used two lenses, the 14-24mm lens and Sigma 50mm Art lens which opens up all the way to 1.4, creating a great shallow depth of field, perfect for the abstract photos and also to capture the staff at work, it really is a delight to use and often gets overlooked due to the 24-70mm lens generally being a fixture on most pro's cameras. I also had the opportunity to have lunch at the Yarrow Hotel and was suitably impressed, certainly recommend this amazing venture for food and hospitality in East Kent.
