This shoot was fun due to the creativity and freedom which came with it. The couple were self-styled, and we kicked off the day with a casual, rockabilly look – complete with lounging on a motorbike. The weather started off fairly bright, so a reflector was used to counteract shadows and bring luminosity to their faces.

The second look was somewhat more gothic, and was set in a moody, atmospheric air raid bunker, at the wheel of the iconic Concorde, and amongst the greenery – a real variety of scenes and tones, even keeping the same costume. The photographs were a mixture of headshots and full-length photos featuring one or both of the models to really achieve a range of images.
The final look was a fun, upbeat 1950's style in the Barbara Cartland room - a location which lends itself perfectly to classic retro and cheesecake styles. Although I gave them tips and instructions on how to pose, Vicki and Kurt also had the freedom to put forward their own ideas and experiment, so the final product was very much tailored to suit them and their visions of what they wanted.
