FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE AT BROOKLANDS MUSEUM

The day started with a brisk breeze but over cars skies and pockets of sunshine, always a challenge in these conditions which works well for the courses as it makes the photographers work with a mixture of lighting. As well as the photographers and models we had a few cars present as well, a supercharged Triumph Herald, Ford coupe pick up and a lovely white Wolseley for the models to use as props around the museum.

Brooklands has a vast array of backdrops which allows for some interesting set ups, the main focus of the course is for the photographers to be more confident in taking portraits and using the model and surroundings to improve their compositional skills.

As well as using natural light we worked with off camera flash and every portrait photographers favourite tool, the reflector, simple but so effective for bringing life to the photo. The next fashion photography course is on Sunday 22nd May, spaces are limited to six attendees and the cost is £150 which includes lunch, more details can be found under the training section of the website.
