BROOK LANDS NEW YEARS DAY CAR MEET

A great way to kick off the New Year with plenty of cars from classics to supercars at Brooklands Museum, I have been covering this event for six years now and this is the busiest I have ever seen the event. The weather was dry and although cold no ones spirits were dampened as they parked across the whole Brooklands site. The photography is to be used to promote the event in future and also to send out to various press outlets in the motoring press, I covered as many diverse cars as possible along with the usual iconic British cars, E Types, MGs and some European exotica with Ferraris, Lamborghinis and the ever popular VW contingent in Beetles, Golfs and camper vans.

The day is a chance also to catch up with friends and fellow petrol heads, I am pretty sure you won't find a more diverse display of cars on one site for the rest of the year. I usually take a wide angle and 70-200mm telephoto zoom, decided this year to use two wide angle zooms, the ever present 24-70mm and super wide 14-24mm, both F2.8 lenses although with the neutral light I kept to F4 upwards.

Their were a lot of photographers about and it was good to meet up with a few who had attended my car photography courses last year, more details can be found on these exclusive courses at Brooklands under my training pages. The next course takes place on Sunday 20th March which is a beginners guide to Digital photography's, gift vouchers are also available for the photography courses. Please contact me for further details.
