The aim of today was to get some key shots for my fashion photography courses marketing material, Sophie and Loren (model and make up artist) would also be using them for there portfolios. The car was provided by Tony Lancaster, the Mercury had only just arrived from the US and this was its first outing in the UK. It looked stunning with the early morning sunlight hitting the metallic green paintwork and chrome of the bumpers and mirrors. I had used a Profoto B1 flash earlier for some car photography, but due to the tighter images that I was after a single Canon Speed Lite and reflector provided plenty of illumintaion for the portraits. By 2pm the light had started to fade and the rain poured down quiet dramatically, we had another outfir lined up but will use this now on next months fashion photography course at Brooklands on Sunday 18th October, still a couple of spaces left so please contact me for more details.
