Goodwood was revived as a motor racing circuit in 1998 and is open for track days and testing, you can either book on an organised one like we did or even hire the whole track for corporate occasions. The circuit is extremely fast, just over 2.5 miles with only one left turn on the entire circuit. The circuit is stacked in history and hosts the festival of speed and the forthcoming Goodwood revival, these events are always sold out in advance due to here growing popularity.

I drove my BMW M135i and friend Iain his M3V8, after a sighting lap by the instructor you are then let loose on to the circuit, organised in to groups of ten so there are not too many cars out at the same time it allows you to get used to the circuit gradually during the afternoon. Iain beat me in the miles per gallon competition, 10.8 to my 12.1! I took the camera along as did Iain so we could capture some track day photography from the pit lanes, a glorious summers day meant that the conditions were perfect. With forty cars taking part in the afternoon session there was plenty of variety on offer, some proper racing cars and even some everyday standard hatchbacks. The next track day is on Friday 4th September, you can book AM or PM sessions or even a full day at this hostoric motor racing circuit.
