The interior and exterior photography today was for the interior contractors who had just recently installed the rustic and homely feel of Byron Burgers restaurant in Canterbury. The diner sits just in front of Canterbury Cathedral along the pedestrian walkway of Burgate and also has the added bonus of a rooftop terrace. I covered the photography early on Friday morning, the restaurant had opened earlier in the week and with the photography taking place prior to any customers entering I had a free reign to cover the interior and exterior photography for the client.

The early morning light was perfect for interior and exterior photos allowing plenty of shade on the first floor of the restaurant, no strong shadows to contend with or blown out areas from an over powering sun. I sued the 16-35mm lens and tripod for all of the photos, wit the exception of the smaller detail images. I used long exposures with apertures of F11 plus to retain as much detail as possible, along with low ISO's of 50-100. The restaurant is fully open now and certainly worth visiting as the rustic interior has a great vibe to it.
