Kate, Kevin, Nick and Hugh all came along with their cameras, reflectors and tripods to take full advantage of this great backdrop. The morning session took place in the stratosphere chamber of the museum and the aircraft hangars, lighting was in places quite poor so reflectors and flash lights were used to enhance the light falling on to the models. Their are endless possibilities within the museum and as well as the chamber the office and various galleries were used to great effect. The photographers really used their SLR's to great effect with a lot of exposure and ISO adjustments being made throughout the course. The great advantage of using fashion models on the camera courses is the flexibility to move the girls to whatever position you wish, this way taking advantage of the best light available.

In terms of props we had some vintage motor bikes which were brought out from the Brooklands motor racing museum, in addition to the classic fronted garages the airfield was used to great effect. Abandoned fuselages, propeller blades and the interiors of passenger aircraft all added to the great variety of backdrops and interiors at Brooklands Museum.

There are still places available for the remaining photography courses at Brooklands Musuem for 2015. The dates can be found under the Training section of the website. The next fashion photography course takes place at Brooklands on Sunday 12th July 2015, the price is £150 and includes lunch and refreshments. Gift vouchers can also be purchased.
