The London Classic Car show took place in the Excel centre, just a stones throw from the O2, or in our case a short cable car ride from the Emirates airborne service, the view over the Thames at night time is stunning. The Excel is a huge space and the LCCS looked at home in its setting, the design of the halls that it took place in reminded me of a mini Goodwood, retro Citron vans serving hot and cold food, a mini GP circuit which spanned the length of the hall plus the beautiful array of classics from every era of motoring history. As this was the preview evening radio and TV presenter Chris Evans introduced a host of personalities during an interview with Adrian Newey who is chief designer for the Red Bull F1 team. James May from Top Gear, F1 drivers David Coultard, Martin Brundle, chef and petrolhead James Martin, Red Bulls Christiam Horner plus Jake Humphreys were present to give an insight in to their favourite cars and the year ahead for the next F1 season.

Towards the end of the preview evening a grid of motoring icons paraded down the long stretch of the circuit that had been set up to parade the E Type, Gullwing, DS, Cobra and Formual 1 and rally racing legends. The show is a definite for any car fans to visit this weekend and will be one that is set in to my calendar for not year.
