Canterbury Christ Church University hold regular public lectures, these are free to attend and always have a prominent speaker, this evenings was no exception with Lord Mervyn King in attendance...
Lord Mervyn King is a British economist and public servant who served as the Governor of the Bank of England from 2003 to 2013. He has just released a book titled "The End of Alchemy" and tonights lecture was covering those and his life at the helm of the Financial Industry in London. The talk was an insight in to his life and thoughts on the current situation incising how Brexit should be tackled and how he felt it would effect the UK and Europe.

The brief for the photography is to capture the first fifteen minutes of the speech and document the pre networking which included Lord King and the Vice Chancellor of Canterbury Christ Church University, Professor Rama Thirunamachandran. The other images were to show off the capacity crowd at the event at Augustine House, over 400 people had come along to hear the lecture. I used the 24-70mm lens for the wider and candid images along with the lightweight 300mm F4 prime lens, it allowed me to work at a distance so i was always unobtrusive from the crowd and speakers point of view.
